Nigeria’s only club representative still on the continent, Rivers United will be playing host to KCCA of Uganda in the team’s fourth game of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Rivers United lost the reverse fixture 2-1 in Kampala, Uganda but the technical adviser of the team, Stanley Eguma is optimistic of maximum points against his opposition.
Eguma who spoke at the pre-match conference said,
” We are representing Nigeria in Africa, we are quiet aware of the task ahead of us in the game against KCCA.
” We have been preparing and strategizing ahead of the game, and we are not underating the threats of our opponents.
He concluded, ” All we need is to up our game from the reverse fixture, and we are sure that maximum points will be guaranteed.”
Rivers United are rock bottom in the group with three points from three games, but a win for Stanley Eguma’s side against the Ugandan champions will put their campaign back on track.
