The 2020 Edo National Sports Festival has been postponed due to the increasing spread of coronavirus.
While several tournaments around the globe had been postponed, the Sports Festival was on course to hold as the organizers assured the public of measures put in place to curb the virus.
However, a section of Nigerians did not fancy the idea of carrying on with the festival considering the population involved at such events.
In conjunction with @mathematical7, we appeal to @Nigeria‘s Sports Minister, @SundayDareSD, to postpone #EDO2020 – the National Sports Festival. The risks of mass #CoronaVirus #Covid19 infection are too great. It is a national security risk to proceed with the NSF now.
