Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and Chelsea forward Willian have won Premier League award for the month of January for manager and best goal of the month respectively.
Eddie However led his South Coast side to an unbeaten run last month including victories against Arsenal and Chelsea thereby propelling the team into the top 10 while Willian scored a perfectly worked team goal to open the scoring for Chelsea during their 4-0 thumping of Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in January.
Speaking after receiving just his second Manager of the Month Award ever, Howe told afcb.co.uk that: “It’s been a good month and I’d like to dedicate the award to everyone associated with the football club.”
“The highlight was without doubt the Chelsea game, but I don’t think we should forget about the result against Arsenal.
“It’s not just about the results, but the performances and the manner in which we played.
“We knew January would be a big month for us after the Christmas period. There are always a lot of games at this time of year, but we came through the month well.” he concluded.
