Eagles Trio Return To Leicester City Training

The Super Eagles trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi have returned to training with their Premier League side Leicester City after their Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup exertions.

The three players featured for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in all their three Group D games.

Musa was hugely influential for the Super Eagles as he scored two goals to give the team its only win in Russia, a 2-0 victory over Iceland.

Nigeria recorded one win and two defeats from three Group D games leading to early exit from the tournament in the group stage.

The three players were granted extended leave by the Foxes and have now joined their other teammates in training ahead of the new season.

Their return to training on Friday was revealed by a report from Leicestermercury.co.uk.

Iheanacho and Ndidi featured heavily for the former Premier League champions last season and are almost certain to be part of the squad for the new season.

The same can’t be said of Musa, who didn’t make a single appearance before being farmed out on loan to former club CSKA Moscow FC of Russia where he scored 6 goals in 10 games.

Armed with his World Cup exploits in Russia, he has been linked with a permanent return to CSKA Moscow in addition to other clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers, Galatasaray, Al Nassr and many more.
