Eagles Land In Russia Ahead Of Huge Argentina Clash

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have touched down in Russia ahead of the big international friendly clash with 2-time world champions Argentina.

The team’s status was revealed via the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles on Saturday night.

The friendly match between the two countries is scheduled for the Krasnodar Stadium in Krasnodar on Tuesday, November 14 and is part of preparations for the two teams ahead of next year’s World Cup in Russia.

The last time both teams met was in the group stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and it was Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi who stole the show as he scored a brace to lead Argentina to a 3-2 win. He is however expected to miss Tuesday’s game after his manager Jorge Sampaoli chose to rest him.
