Eagles In World Cup Boost As MO Declares Leicester City Star Will Be Fit For Russia 2018

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been boosted by the news that Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will be fit in time for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Ndidi had been a major doubt for the tournament after he sustained a hamstring injury in the colours of the Foxes and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season.

The heartwarming news was delivered by the team’s Media Officer (MO), Toyin Ibitoye, who also revealed that he’s likely to feature in the final World Cup warm up game against Czech Republic on June 6.

Ibitoye was speaking during a radio programme in Lagos on Monday. In his words, he said: “He may not play again for Leicester City this season, but he is likely to at least play our final friendly against Czech Republic on June 6.”
