Eagles Drop One Place In Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped one place from 47th to 48th for the latest FIFA Ranking released on Thursday.

The ranking released for the month of June represents the last edition before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Nigeria, however, also drop one place from 6th to 7th position among the African countries as the Eagles lost 17 points (635 to 618 points) in the latest ranking.

The Super Eagles have been drawn in Group D alongside Croatia, Iceland and Argentina.

They are the least ranked team in the group though Croatia also drop two places from 18th to 20th while Argentina (5th) and Iceland (22nd) retained their respective positions.

World champions Germany are still the no. 1 ranked team ahead of Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina.
