They are now ninth in Africa behind Senegal, Tunisia, Egypt, Congo DR, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Ghana.
In comparison with last month, the Super Eagles were overtaken by the Black Stars of Ghana, who now occupy the 50th position.
On the world stage, the top 35 from last month’s ranking are unchanged with world championship Germany still the undisputed no.1 ahead of Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, France and Chile as far as the top 10 teams in the world are concerned.
