Dortmund Extend Bundesliga Lead With Gladbach Thrashing

Bundesliga pacesetters Borussia Dortmund have extended their lead at the top of the table to two points after thrashing Borussia Moenchengladbach 6-1 at the Signa Iduna Park.

Former African footballer of the year, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang netted a hattrick either side of Maximilian Philipp’s brace and Julian Weigl’s goal while Lars Stindl got the consolation goal for the away side.

The convincing victory over Gladbach takes the point tally for Peter Bosz’s side to 16 points ahead of TSG Hoffenheim (14 points), German champions Bayern Munich (13 points) and Augsburg (11 points) as the race for the title begins to gather pace.
