Dortmund Drop First Bundesliga Points At Hannover 96

Title hopefuls Borussia Dortmund have dropped their first points of the new German Bundesliga season after they were held to a goalless draw at newly promoted outfit Hannover 96.

The 1997 Champions League winners dominated the game from start to finish but struggled to break down their opponents as both sides stalemated in the week two league clash played at the HDI Arena in Hannover on Friday night.

The draw is, however, enough to maintain Borussia Dortmund’s spot at the top of the table at least until the remaining week two fixtures are concluded.

The Bundesliga giants have four points from the first two league games.

Their hosts Hannover 96 also maintain their position in the top nine after two points from two games.
