Done Deal: Leroy Sane To Join Bayern Munich

Leroy Sane will join Bayern Munich after Manchester City agreed a deal to sell the winger to the German champions.

The deal that takes Sane back to his homeland will be for an initial £44.7m which could rise to £54.8m with add-ons.

Sane, 24, joined City from Schalke in 2016 for £37m and has won two Premier League titles with the club.

He integral in City’s all-conquering domestic run that saw them claimed a domestic treble last term but has spent much of this season out with a knee injury.

His future at the club has looked increasingly bleak after he rejected City’s offer of a new contract.

City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that the club was resigned to losing the Germany international and would sell this summer if an acceptable offer was tabled.

It appears that Bayern who have long been linked with the player and made a play for him prior to his injury last summer have now stumped up the cash for the winger.

Reports say Sane will travel to Germany in the next 24 hours to complete the transfer.

Although he is ineligible for Bayern in the Champions League this season, it is understood Sane will not return to City and has played his final game for the club.
