Denayer Leaves Manchester City For Lyon In €10m Deal

Belgian defender Jason Denayer has completed his move from Premier League champions Manchester City to Lyon on a permanent deal.

The 23-year-old joins the French Ligue 1 giants from the Citizens after putting pen to paper on a four-year contract for a transfer fee believed to be around €10m (£9m).

He didn’t make any single appearance for Manchester City since he signed for the club in 2013, but was sent out on loan four times.

Jason Denayer was sent out on loan to Scottish Premier League (SPL) champions Celtic, English League One club Sunderland and Turkish side Galatasaray (two times).

The eight-cap Belgian international was part of the Red Devils team to the 2016 European Championship in France.

Belgium were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Wales.
