DeMarcus Cousins Agrees Lucrative One-Year Deal To Join NBA Champions GSW

All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins has agreed a lucrative one-year deal to join NBA Champions Golden State Warriors (GSW).

Cousins, 27, who is presently recovering from a torn left Achilles, has agreed a one-year, $5.3m deal with GSW.

He became expendable at New Orleans Pelicans on Monday after the club agreed to a deal for Julius Randle, a free-agent center.

DeMarcus Cousins averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists and shot 35.4 percent on 3-pointers for the Pelicans last season in 48 games.

With the addition of Cousins, GSW will be the sixth team in NBA history to have at least five All-Stars from the previous season and the first since the 1975/76 season according to Elias Sports Bureau.
