
Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij will not be signing a new contract extension with Italian Serie A giants Lazio according to the capital club.
His current contract expires in the summer prompting Lazio to offer him a new contract, however, the contract offer has been withdrawn by the club.
Confirming the news, Igli Tare, the club’s sporting director, said: “It’s a decision made after many months.
“There’s a limit to everything. We will say goodbye at the end of the season.” he added.
Stefan De Vrij has already been linked with a move to European giants like Barcelona, Arsenal, Everton, Inter Milan and Liverpool.
