Coutinho Scores First Barcelona Goal To Help Club Secure Copa Del Rey Final Place With Sevilla

New signing Philippe Coutinho opened his account for his Barcelona side to help the Blaugrana to a 3-0 aggregate win over Valencia thus securing a Spanish Copa Del Rey final place against Sevilla.

Barcelona won the home leg at the Nou Camp 1-0 and further extended their advantage in the second leg with four second half minutes on the clock courtesy Philippe Coutinho who made an instant impact off a Luis Suarez assist after coming on as a halftime substitute for Andre Gomes.

The goal derailed the hosts’ bid to get back into the tie before Ivan Rakitic killed off the contest with a second goal eight minutes from time off another Suarez assist thus giving Ernesto Valverde’s side 2-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate.

Barcelona will now face Sevilla in the Spanish Copa Del Rey final billed for April 21 in their quest to win a 30th title.
