Coppa Italia Watch: Torino, Sassuolo And Hellas Verona Zoom Into Last 16

Italian Serie A sides Torino, Sassuolo and Hellas Verona have qualified for the last 16 of the Coppa Italia after their respective qualifying stage wins.

Torino defeated Serie B side Carpi 2-0 at home with goals from Iago Falque and Andrea Belotti while Sassuolo got the better of another Serie B team, Bari, 2-1.

Matteo Politano scored the winning goal for Sassuolo in injury time after Nene had cancelled out Diego Falcinelli’s opener for the home side.

Hellas Verona edged their Verona Derby clash with Chievo on penalties after regulation time and extra time had ended 1-1. The away side won 5-4 on penalties to secure a last 16 spot.

Torino will face AS Roma next for a place in the last eight while Sassuolo and Hellas Verona are expected to battle Atlanta and AC Milan in the Round of 16 respectively.
