Lille coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will be leaving the Ligue 1 side this summer.
Reports have it that the 21-year old Nigerian has already agreed terms with Napoli subject to medicals and paperwork.
Osimhen and teammate Gabriel appear to be heading in the same direction to the Serie A as Galtier confirmed the duo’s departure was imminent.
“Regarding Victor and Gabriel, yes, I’ve known for a long time that they’re leaving,” Galtier said at a press conference.
“They’re working hard with us in the meantime. We’re working on the players who are currently here and those likely to replace [Victor and Gabriel].
“Of course, the club is working to replace them”.
A deal for Gabriel looks more likely at this stage, with the French side said to have already accepted an offer of €22m plus bonuses from the Partenopei.
On the other hand, they seem to want far more than double the amount offered for the Nigerian forward who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season for Les Dogues.
