Claudio Bravo’s wife blasts Chilean players after failure to reach Russia 2018

Claudio Bravo’s wife, Carla Pardo took to Instagram to rant following Chile’s 3-0 defeat to Brazil, ending the country’s hopes of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The Manchester City goalkeeper’s wife praised her man’s commitment to the team while taking a swipe at some other players, accusing them of missing training due to hangovers.

“Thank you, Captain America, for all that you have experienced. It was really beautiful. But when they put on the shirt it has to be with professionalism. I know that most of them busted their a***s, while others left parties and even did not train because of their hangovers. If the cap fits, put it on and stop crying. Because now it is a whole country that is crying. Here we wait for you with open arms my captain”. Pardo said.

When asked about his wife’s comments, Bravo said:

“Things have to be talked about from within, it’s not the time to wash dirty laundry in public, and that’s all I will say. Those who are here know the responsibility. We are all adults and each of us are responsible for their own things.”

The Copa America holders entered the final round of matches in an automatic qualifying spot, but slumped to sixth on the table with the embarrassing loss to Brazil after Argentina beat Ecuador and Peru drew Colombia.

Midfielder Arturo Vidal has retired from the Chilean national team after the loss while others remain silent over their future with the team.
