Chelsea Midfielder Ruled Out Of Action For ‘Another Three Weeks’

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante will be missing in action for another three weeks according to the English Premier League (EPL) champions.

The 26-year old star suffered the injury during France’s 1-0 away win over Bulgaria last weekend and has now been ruled out till next month.

According to the Blues manager Antonio Conte, Kante need to undergo a scan. The Italian manager however confirmed that new summer signing Danny Drinkwater is “progressing well” from his calf injury though he still have to wait for his Chelsea debut.

In what is a timely boost for Chelsea, star striker Alvaro Morata should be able to return as early as Wednesday in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash with AS Roma.

He pulled his hamstring during the 1-0 defeat by Manchester City just before the international break.

Speaking about the aforementioned Kante during his pre-match press conference ahead of the London Derby league clash with bottom club Crystal Palace, Conte said:

“He is a big loss for us because we know very well the importance of Kante to our team.”

“We don’t have another player with his characteristics.

“We may have to adapt some defenders into midfielders.” he added.
