Chelsea Manager Hayes Makes Best FIFA Women’s Coach Award Shortlist

Chelsea women’s team manager Emma Hayes has been named on the 10-man shortlist for this year’s Best FIFA Women’s Coach award.

The 41-year-old English coach led the Blues to an FA Cup and Women’s Super League double which was sealed just days prior to her giving birth to a baby boy.

Ex-Chelsea manager Mark Parsons was also named on the list released by world football’s governing body, FIFA on Tuesday.

English tactician Parsons is presently in charge of US side Portland Thorns.

Other nominees include Stephan Lerch (Germany and VFL Wolfsburg), Mark Parsons, Reynald Pedros (France and Olympique Lyonnais), Alen Stajcic (Australia), Asaka Takakura (Japan), Vadao (Brazil), Jorge Vilda (Spain), Martina Voss-Tecklenburg (German coach in charge of the Switzerland national team) and Sarina Wiegman (Netherlands).
