Congo have qualified for the quarter-final at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) after they defeated Burkina Faso 2-0 at home in their second Group D clash at the Stade Adrar in Agadir.
Carof Bakoua and Olumpique Khouribga of Morocco striker Georges Kadir Bidimbou scored in the second half to secure knockout stage qualification for the Congolese.
In the earlier game played in Group D, African champions Cameroon have been eliminated from the tournament after they lost a second successive game with a 1-0 loss to Angola courtesy a Ricardo Job penalty on the half hour mark.
