An injury time strike from Panduleni Nekundi secured a late 1-0 win for Namibia against Uganda thus propelling the team to the knockout stage of the ongoing African Nations Championship ‘CHAN’.
The late win made it two wins out of two Group B games as they join Zambia as the two qualifiers from the group.
The Zambians had earlier beaten Ivory Coast 2-0 to seal a last eight spot courtesy an Augustine Mulenga brace either side of the interval.
Ivory Coast and Uganda have both been eliminated from the tournament though both sides will meet in the final group game in a largely insignificant game while Namibia and Zambia face off to determine Group B winner.
