CHAN 2018 Hosts Morocco Thrash 10-Man Nigeria In One-Sided Final To Win Tournament

Morocco have won the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) as hosts after they defeated 10-man Nigeria 4-0 in what was a one-sided final at the Stadium Mohammed V in Casablanca on Sunday night.

The North African side dominated proceedings from start to finish and deservedly got the reward with an emphatic victory.

Raja Casablanca striker Zakaria Hadraf gave the Moroccans the lead just before the interval and they were then handed a fantastic opportunity following Nigerian midfielder Peter Eneji’s dismissal for two yellow cards with three second half minutes gone.

Morocco capitalised on the numerical advantage with two goals in three minutes from Walid El Kaarti and to the aforementioned Hadraf before the tournament’s topscorer and best player Ayoub El Kaabi (9 goals) wrapped up the convincing victory for the hosts.
