Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has penned a new deal at the club, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2022.
The London side confirmed this on Tuesday morning by tweeting: “Four more years.”
The Spaniard arrived Chelsea for just 7 million Euros in August 2012 from Marseille proving valuable in the 298 times he has played for the club.
Azpilicueta has started all of Chelsea’s 14 games in the Premier League this season under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The 29-year old defender also tweeted: “Delighted to be a blue until 2022. Since I arrived in 2012, my desire has been always to give my best and fight for this club, and now more than ever, I feel the responsibility to bring more success to this family.
“WE WILL KEEP THE BLUE FLAG FLYING HIGH!”
