CAVB U21 Beach Cup: Nigeria Battle Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, others in Zonal Qualifiers

Nigeria male and female U21 volleyball teams will battle Niger, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana and Benin Republic in the zonal qualifiers for the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) U21 Beach Cup.

The qualifiers will commence on Thursday 21st February in Accra, Ghana.

Four players will represent Nigeria at the qualifiers after taking part in a rigorous camping exercise in Kaduna. Emmanuel Okeke and Eminike Ezeike will team up together in the male category while Amarachi Uchechukwu and Maryann Kelechukwu partner in the female category.

The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod expressed his desire is to see Nigeria qualify for the U21 Beach World Cup.

“The Nigeria teams were in China for the U21 Beach World Championships and it is my desire and prayers that we qualify and represent Africa at the 2019 U21 Beach World Championships,” he said.
