Swansea City manager Carlos Carvahal has disclosed how he masterminded his side’s stunning win over Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night.

The Welsh side produced one of the shock results of the current Premier League season with a 1-0 win over Liverpool courtesy Alfie Mawson’s goal just before halftime.

Speaking about how he plotted the famous win for the bottom club, Carvahal said: “Liverpool is a top team, they are Formula 1, but if you put a Formula 1 car in London traffic at 4pm, it will not run very fast.”

The win ended Liverpool’s 14-match unbeaten run dating back to a 4-1 defeat at the Wembley Stadium against Tottenham Hotspur.

The defeat was really disappointing for a Liverpool team that ended league leaders Manchester City’s unbeaten run last weekend with a 4-3 victory only to lose to the bottom club.
