Carabao Cup Review: West Ham Stun London Rivals Tottenham In Comeback Win; Chelsea Survive Late Everton Scare

West Ham United produced their best performance of the season for embattled manager Slaven Bilic as they came from two goals down to stun their hosts and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 at the Wembley Stadium in their Carabao Cup last 16 clash.

Tottenham had raced into a two-goal lead through Moussa Sissoko and Dele Alli before West Ham shocked them with a second half fightback. Two goals in five minutes from Ghanaian international Andre Ayew levelled matters for the Hammers before Italian international defender Angelo Ogbonna added a third goal with 20 minutes remaining. Slaven Bilic’s side thereafter held on for a big scalp and a place in the next round.

Chelsea are also through to the quarterfinal after they survived a late scare from their visitors Everton. Antonio Rudiger gave Chelsea a first half lead before Willian added a late second. Young forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back for Everton but the home side held on for a last eight spot.
