Two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba will take on Burkina Faso side Rahimo FC in the preliminary round of the 2020-21 Champions League following draws released on Monday.
The record Nigeria Professional Football League champions will travel to Rahimo for the first leg before welcoming the Burkinabe club to the Enyimba Stadium in Aba for the return encounter.
Nigeria’s other representatives Plateau United have been drawn against Tanzanian side Simba FC and will play the first leg at home.
The winner of the Enyimba tie will play the either Congolese side AS Otoho d’Oyo or Sudanese side El Merrreikh in the Second Preliminary Round.
Plateau United, if they progress, could face the winner of the tie between Mozambican CD do Sol and FC Platinum of Zimbabwe.
The kickoff date for the Preliminary Round will be 27 – 29 November for the first leg with the return fixtures scheduled for 4-6 December 2020.
