CAFCC: Sorry Enyimba Crash To Defeat In Algeria

Algerian side ES Setif made easy work of Nigerian champions Enyimba as they boosted their hopes of making the knockout round with a routine 3-0 win over the Nigerians in a CAF Confederation Cup Group A clash at the Stade 8 Mai 1945 on Sunday.

Amir Karaoui and Mohamed Amoura put the Algerians two goals up in the first half before Akram Djahnit finished off Fatai Osho’s men with a 65th-minute penalty.

The win was a first in the group for Setif and takes them to four points, level with third-placed Al-Ahli Benghazi and just two off Enyimba with two more games to play.

South African side Orlando Pirates lead the group with eight points after seeing off Al Ahli in the group’s other game.
