CAFCC: Rangers in Pole Position to Reach Group Stage after Away Win Against Bantu

Bright Silas scored his 4th goal in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup as Rangers International moved closer to the group stage of the competition following a 2-1 win against Bantu FC in Maseru, the Lesotho capital.

Silas fired the Aiteo Cup champions in front after 18 minutes before Godwin Aguda added a second six minutes from time to make the first leg of their playoff tie safe.

However, Lazola Jokojokwana halved the deficit for the Lesotho champions just before full time.

With the win, the Flying Antelopes just need a draw in the second leg on Sunday, 20th January at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu, to advance to the group stage of the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup.
