CAFCC: Kano Pillars Mull Option Of Bauchi Or Kaduna For Home Games

Kano Pillars are considering relocating away from Kano for their home games in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup the club announced on Friday.

Pillars will play in the competition after they were put forward as one of Nigeria’s two representatives following the curtailing of the 2019-20 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

But fans of the Northern behemoth won’t be able to watch their team at home when preliminary qualifiers begin as their Sani Abacha home ground is being used as a temporary Covid-19 isolation centre.

Instead, club chairman, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul told Pillars website that the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi and Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna are under consideration to host their preliminaries and group stage matches should Pillars qualify.

Jambul said a final choice will be made after consultations with the management of both stadiums.
