Kano Pillars will play ASC Jaraaf of Senegal in the first Preliminary Round of the 2020-21 Confederation Cup.

Pillars and Rivers United will play in the competition this season after being put forward by the Nigerian authorities following the abrupt end to the 2019-20 Nigeria Professional Football League.

Pillars will play the first leg away from before hosting the Senegalese side for the second leg.

Rivers United have been drawn against Equatorial Guinea’s Futuro Kings and will play the first leg away from home.

Rivers United will face the winner of the tie between AS Maniema of Congo and South Africa’s Bloemfontein Celtic in the second round if they progress while Pillars have San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire lying in wait should they progress past the first round.

The first leg ties will hold between 27 – 29 November with the return fixtures scheduled for the weekend of 4-6 December 2020.
