Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) giants Enyimba face a serious fight to qualify for the knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) following the 2-0 loss to Ivorian side Williamsville in a Matchday 4 Group C clash in Abidjan on Sunday evening.
The defeat ensured that Enyimba drop two places from top to third spot on the group standings.
The Ivorians won the game courtesy a goal in each half from N’da Jean-Willie Kouakou (31st minute) and Guy Cedric Yameogo (77th minute).
In the other Group C game, CARA Brazzaville of Congo defeated Malian side AC Djoliba 1-0 to usurp their opponents and Enyimba from bottom spot into second position.
With the victory, Williamsville lead the group with seven points ahead of CARA Brazzaville (six points), Enyimba (six points) and AC Djoliba (four points).
