CAF Confederations Cup: Club Africain, TP Mazembe Qualify For Semis

Tunisian giants Club Africain and TP Mazembe have both sealed their places in the semifinal of the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup after respective second leg wins.

Club Africain had to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the 1st leg of their quarterfinal tie with USM Alger of Algeria to seal a 2-1 aggregate win. Moataz Zemzemi and Saber Khalifa netted to give the Tunisians a 2-0 win in their second leg clash om Sunday.

On the other hand, TP Mazembe thrashed Sudanese outfit Al Hilal 5-0 at home for a 7-1 aggregate win. Players like Jean Kasusula, Elia Meschak and Issama Mpeko were on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Club Africain will next face South African side Super Sport United in the last four while TP Mazembe will battle Moroccan club FUS Rabat for a place in the CAF Confederations Cup final.
