CAF CL: Fans Return To Aba For Enyimba Against Al Hilal

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has provisionally cleared the teeming fans of Enyimba to watch their Champions League first round first leg tie against Al Hilal in Aba.

Enyimba,  who defeated Rahimo FC of Burkina Faso 5-0 behind closed doors in the previous round of the competition,  face Hilal on 15th September at their renovated stadium.

While disclosing the development on Friday, club chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu informed that the decision is an ‘exceptional provisional permission’ as the Enyimba International stadium is yet to fully meet the required standard set by CAF.

The decision means Enyimba, 2-time winners of the CAF Champions League, could be moved to another venue if they advance to the group stage of the competition, provided they don’t meet the set standards.
Floodlights and the terraces at the Enyimba stadium still fall short of the required standard by CAF.
