CAF CC: Mbaoma Dedicates First Enyimba Goal To New-Born Son (AUDIO)

Enyimba forward Victor Mbaoma has dedicated his first goal for the club to his new-born son, adding that he was certain of scoring against TS Galaxy before the match on Sunday.

Mbaoma, who joined the NPFL champions from Remo Stars, opened scoring for Enyimba after seven minutes before Martins Usule sealed the 2-0 win against the South Africans in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup playoff tie in Aba.

“It was a tough game, and I was very, very sure that we would win,” the former Akwa United striker said after the match. “And I had a very strong belief inside my heart that I would score.

“It was not because I felt so, but my wife (Patricia Mbaoma) told me that I just have to score for my son. So, I made a promise to her and said ‘it would be a best gift to give to my new-born baby boy’. So, that’s why I had to make up and make her proud.”
