Nigerian champions Enyimba lost 2-0 at Moroccan side Hassania Agadir on Sunday as they got their 2019/2020 CAF Confederation group stage off to a disappointing start.

Two first half goals from Karim El Berkaoui and Malick Cisse condemned the Nigerians to defeat at the Grand Stade Adrar, as the hosts climbed to the top of Group D.

It was a disappointing day all round for Nigerian sides as Enugu Rangers suffered a 3-1 loss at home to Egyptian side Pyramids FC in Group A.

Ivorian side San Pedro played out a goalless draw at home to Algerian side Paradou Athletic in the other game in the Group D.
