Bundesliga Review: Champions Bayern Recover From Early Setback To Thrash Gladbach

Newly crowned German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich were given a scare by visiting Borussia Moenchengladbach but they recovered to thrash their opponents 5-1 in a Matchday 30 clash at the Allianz Arena.

Former Bayer Leverkusen striker Josip Drmic gave the away side a 9th minute lead before a brace from Sandro Wagner overturned the game in Bayern’s favour just before the halftime interval.

Thiago Alcantara, David Alaba and substitute Robert Lewandowski were all on target in the second half thus making it a comprehensive win for the Bavarian giants who extend their lead to 23 points.
