Bundesliga Review: Bayern Show Power Of Recovery Again To Stretch Lead To 21 Points

German champions Bayern Munich showed their power of recovery again after they came from behind to beat their hosts VFL Wolfsburg in a week 23 Bundesliga clash played on Saturday evening.

Daniel Didavi gave the home side a shock first half lead but his team could not withstand the Bayern pressure especially in the second half.

Dutch forward Arjen Robben missed out on the opportunity to draw his side level from the spot but he didn’t live to regret the missed chance.

Sandro Wagner levelled proceedings some minutes later before substitute Robert Lewandowski tucked away a last minute penalty to break Wolfsburg hearts while leading his team to three crucial points.

The Bavarian giants had earlier shown their recovery levels earlier this month as they came from two goals down to beat TSG Hoffenheim 5-2 at the Allianz Arena in the league.

The win over VFL Wolfsburg extends Bayern’s lead at the top of the table to 21 points ahead of nearest challengers Bayer Leverkusen.
