Brighton Sign Goalkeeper David Button From Fulham

Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper David Button from newly promoted Premier League side Fulham.

The 29-year-old will team up with the Premier League outfit after he penned a three-year deal.

According to Brighton, both clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the former England U20 international to move to the Amex Stadium.

He is the club’s fifth major summer signing and will fight for the no. 1 spot in the goalkeeping department alongside Matthew Ryan and Jason Steele.

On the club’s latest acquisition, manager Chris Hughton said: “We’re delighted to bring a goalkeeper of David’s experience to the club.

“With Christian Walton and Robert Sanchez going out on loan this season, we felt we needed someone to provide further competition for places in that area of the team.
“He has a wealth of experience, having made over 300 appearances during his career so far, and I’m sure he will work well with Maty Ryan and Jason Steele.” He concluded.
