
Patrick, the father of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has passed away.
The 21-year-old Lille of France striker took to Twitter on Sunday morning to share the heartbreaking news of hid dad’s demise.
“R.I.P Dad, no words to describe this feeling,” a distraught Osimhen posted in a picture with crying emojis.

Elder Patrick Osimhen as he was known was the sole surviving parent of the Super Eagles star.

No confirmation about the cause of death has been given at the time of this report.

The devastating news of his father’s death comes just as the much-coveted Osimhen finds himself on the cusp of greatness with several leading European sides jostling for his signature after a barnstorming debut season for Lille.
The former Wolfsburg striker has been the subject of intense interest from English Premier League champions-in-waiting Liverpool in particular after finishing as Lille’s top scorer with 18 goals in all competitions.
His heroics also saw his club nominate him for Player of the Season.
