Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, has been awarded the hosting right of the 2018 Africa Senior Wrestling Championship slated for February next year.

The decision was announced on Saturday in Paris by the United World Wrestling Federation who expressed satisfaction with the facilities in the Garden City following an inspection tour last month.

Tunisian capital, Tunis lost out in the bidding to Port Harcourt.

It will be the first time Nigeria will be hosting the African Championships.
