BREAKING: Plane Carrying Emiliano Sala Found

The plane carrying Cardiff City signing Emiliano Sala and its pilot David Ibbotson have been found at the bottom of the sea and the player’s family have been informed.

The underwater search for the missing plane carrying the footballer and his pilot started on Sunday.

Sala disappeared with pilot David Ibbotson over the English Channel on 21 January.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said its Geo Ocean III vessel arrived on Sunday morning to the search area.

Together with a privately-funded vessel, they conducted sonar surveys off Guernsey.

On Monday, cushions believed to be from the plane were found on a beach near Surtainville, on France’s Cotentin Peninsula.

The 28-year-old and the pilot, were travelling from Nantes, where Sala previously played, when the flight was lost.
