Commonwealth champion Odunayo Adekuoroye is safely through to the final of 55kg freestyle at the World Wrestling Championships in Paris, France.

She is now the first Nigerian to reach the final at the world championships.

The world number one in her weight category defeated Iryna KURACHKINA of Belarus 10-0 via technical superiority.

The Ondo-born wrestling sensation will face Haruna OKUNO of Japan in final.

Two years ago in Las Vegas, Adekuoroye won bronze in the competition.
