
D’Tigers of Nigeria failed to defend their FIBA AfroBasket title losing to co-host Tunisia 65-77 in Tunis on Saturday.
Nigerian captain Ike Diogu produced another high-scoring performance with 20 points and 10 rebounds but was not enough to stop the Tunisians.

Ike Diogu was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament and also headlines the All-Star Five alongside teammate Ikenna Iroegbu, Mohamed Hadidane (Tunisia), Mourad El Mabrouk (Tunisia) and Gorgui Dieng(Senegal).
