Nigeria’s queen of the tracks, Blessing Okagbare has disclosed that he’s unfazed by people’s expectations of her.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games bronze medallist has come in for a lot of criticisms recently due to her poor showings.
Okagbare was speaking about fans’ expectations of her via Vanguard as she said: “I don’t answer questions about expectations. I have expectations but people have expectations of me, but I am sorry I am not running for anyone.
“This is my career and I come first, regardless of what anybody thinks. No one knows how you train, yet they want you to fulfill their own expectations of you.” She concluded.
In a related development, Blessing Okagbare has pulled out of the ongoing CAA African Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba, Delta State.
