Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Kwesi Appiah, has tipped Nigeria and Senegal for glory at the ongoing 2018 World Cup tournament in Russia and that the teams can surprise many people at the mundial.

Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D, while the Teranga Lions of Senegal are expected to battle Colombia, Japan and Poland in Group F at the tournament.

Kwesi Appiah was speaking about the participating African countries and what they can achieve

in Russia.

In his words via soccernet, Kwesi Appiah said: “Most of the African countries at the World Cup have got very young squads. And I believe they can surprise many at the tournament.”

“Nigeria and Senegal are doing well with young players who want to achieve something.” He added.

Speaking further, the Ghana coach said: “They only need the right mentality for the tournament and they can cause a surprise.”
