Big Shame! Rivers United Players Lay Siege On Government House Over Unpaid Entitlements (Photos)

Players of Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United, have laid siege on the Rivers State Government House in a bid to protest over the non-payment of their financial entitlements.

The players of old Sharks and Dolphins (now Rivers United) are being owed sign-on fees for the 2014/15 NPFL season prompting the decision to resort to protest.

During the protest, which took place on Tuesday morning, the players barricaded the entrance to the Government House while carrying placards.

A total of 45 players, including Rivers Angels players, were involved in the protest.
