Best Goal Award Will Be Named After Rasheed Yekini – Pinnick (Video)

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick, has revealed that the best goal award at the upcoming NFF Awards will be named after late Super Eagles striker Rasheed Yekini.

Pinnick made this known during last week’s signing ceremony to usher in a new partnership between the NFF and soft drinks giant Coca-Cola.

In his words, Pinnick said: “That goal as well made the NFF to name our Puskas Award after Rasheed Yekini in our award that would be coming.”

Rasheed Yekini cemented his name in the history books as the first player to score for Nigeria at a senior men’s FIFA World Cup with his strike in a 3-0 win over Bulgaria during the 1994 edition in the United States of America (USA).
