Belgium Beat England To Take Third Place In Russia

Belgium have taken third place at the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia following their 2-0 win over England in the 3rd/4th place playoff.

Roberto Martinez and his players got off to a great start as early as the fourth minute when Paris Saint Germain (PSG) right back Thomas Meunier gave the Red Devils the lead.

Belgium thereafter dominated the game but didn’t wrap up the game until Chelsea star Eden Hazard scored his side’s second goal with eight minutes left on the clock.

The third-place finish represents Belgium’s best result in the history of the World Cup while England match their second best result with the fourth-place finish.

1998 World Cup champions France and Croatia will do battle in the final on Sunday evening to determine winner of this year’s World Cup tournament.
